The short version
The app works without an account, without registration, without advertising, and without tracking. There are no analytics services. Everything you enter stays on your device. The app does not transmit any personal data to us. Technically necessary data is processed only to handle in-app purchases.
Data stored locally
Your quit date, your previous consumption (amount, prices, currency), cravings you have overcome including their triggers, mood entries, achievements, and settings are stored exclusively on your device. They never leave the device, and we cannot see them. Deleting the app removes them.
iCloud backup (optional)
If you choose to, the app backs up your progress to your personal iCloud (the key-value store of your Apple account). This data lives in your iCloud account and is not accessible to us; Apple's privacy policy applies. You can disable and delete the backup in the app at any time.
Notifications
Reminders and milestone congratulations are scheduled locally on the device. No push service with a server connection is used.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store; Apple's privacy policy applies. We do not receive any payment data from Apple. To unlock features and validate purchases, the app uses the service RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., 300 California St., San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) as a data processor. The following data is processed: a randomly generated, anonymous usage ID, App Store receipt data, and technical device information (device type, operating system version, language). Names, email addresses, or contact details are not transmitted. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. More: revenuecat.com/privacy.
Health-related information
The app shows general, source-based information about quitting smoking (for example health milestones). Whatever you enter here stays, like all your data, locally on your device. The app does not make diagnoses and does not replace medical advice.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we do not store any personal data about you ourselves, you can delete your locally stored data at any time yourself (in the app or by deleting the app; the iCloud backup additionally in the app or in your iCloud settings).
